In 2008, it was our first date...I was unaware like a few other times, until later.

I was a God thing for sure.

  • I went to a biergarten in December (it was open because it had outdoor seating). That was the first time since before the pandemic.

It's been quite a while - well before Covid closed everything down.  We used to have a group of people from the neighborhood and we would meet once a week or so for dinner and drinks at our favorite place, Dirty Pierre's.  The drinks were wonderful and very inexpensive.  It was a little hole in the wall with some of the best food I've ever eaten.  As time went by, some in the group passed away, some moved to warmer climes, some just didn't want to be bothered going out and the Covid hit and we all stayed home.

Late summer 2019. I could go again now because they are reopened but I’m too used to being a shut in now, I like it.

Eleven years.  And it was in Atlanta with my friends from Answerbag, Vanessa and Phyllis.  I am not an alcohol drinker but I was that day (and night).  It was great fun with those two.

July 2020. Family reunion at the Moose Lodge.
One side is a bar and the other side is a large banquet hall.

Last October, I had cod in beer batter and chips, and a drink with my other half. It was very odd with the social distancing.

So long ago that I can hardly remember the legendary Battle Of The Gimps at the Rod and Gun Tavern in Parksville (2 guys who both had a broken leg got in a fight). Cheers!
