I was in a wonderful position when I retired from a large corporation and that has to be my favorite.  We were the president's staff and very busy but we had a ball and were able to get some really good things done.  In the years since I retired the company has been a disappointment.  The things we fought hard to preserve were trampled by deregulation and merger.  It makes me sad when I think about it.  So I don't do much of that.

Signal helper for CP Rail. We were a gang of six workers and a foreman (plus a cook and dining car) building rail crossing signals in various locations over the prairie provinces. I was laid off in December and got bored with nothing to do for the winter so i joined the Navy.

In high school I worked in a movie theater. This was so long ago that my job title was Candy Girl. Only boys could be ushers. I did get promoted to cashier eventually, that, too was for girls only. It was a great job because I worked with people my own age who were either friends or became friends. The theater was part of a chain and we got free passes to all the movies in town which made me very popular. There weren't as many jobs for teenagers back then and I was lucky to have gotten that one.

My current job - not because the work is so fulfilling (it isn't) but because I work for the best boss anyone could imagine.
