    Mr. Kellyopie would always give me extra arrows when I went to his archery range. Mr. Kellyopie was the piano/organ player on the Bozo the clown show (the one filmed in Windsor Ontario). Cheers!

      Actors Matthew Modine, LL Cool J back in the late 1990s, and Carl Anthony Payne II in 2012.
      When he was running for governor of California, Gavin Newsome showed up at my workplace on a campaign stop. As I was leaving the building for lunch, he and his entourage were passing through the lobby. Some people were slobbering all over him, I barely looked in his direction.  He saw me and seemingly brightened up, as if he thought, (((There’s a Black man, he must be someone who will vote for me!))) He then tried to glad-hand me, I just snubbed him.

    Modine, Cool J and Payne II  -- very brief statements there, ha!  :) Especially in comparison to Newsome's story, ha. It's all good, though.  :)

    Mayor Bill Deblasio (hizzoner) and Chirlane McCray live in my neighborhood, and I ran into and chatted with them on the street one day a few years ago. When I lived in Manhattan in the late 1980s, I met then-MLB pitcher Ron Darling as we were leaving a movie theater. I have maintained an on-and-off friendship with not-quite-so-famous ex-MLB outfielder, writer, and radio color commentator Billy Sample since 1992.

    And I forgot to mention that in 1975 when I was 15, the Secret Service scene in Taxi Driver was filmed around the corner from my house. I stopped to watch, standing a few feet away from Robert DeNiro, and was on camera for about a minute. The scene can be viewed on YouTube.

    Good God. And after she told me she was the only guy she ever hugged. Tsk! Women - can't live with them, can't kill them and be done with it, not without having to endure a long spell in clink afterwards.

    Are you saying you were in and/or watched the filming of  the downtown scenes in the opening credits for "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" TV show? That kicks ass. :)
