    A tick. It's that time of year here and I found one on my dog and now I'm going to be worried about ticks for several months.

    I agree completely, summer is tic season.  I have a wonderful opossum who I have named Charlie living in my back yard.  Opossum's eat tics. I wish I had a whole backyard full of Opossums as I live in deer country.  This post was edited by Art Lover at May 30, 2023 5:00 PM MDT

    Yes! I know some other fowl do, too. I know people who have peacocks and Guineafowl as pets/livestock to help control ticks on their property. 

    I've read studies that show how the mismanagement of native species who prey on ticks has influenced tick-borne disease in humans and other animals.
