For those here who live in a city, how long does it take to drive from one end to the other?

I can go just about any where in 25 minutes without even using the intestate highways.

About 30 to 45 minutes, depending on route and/or traffic.

Probably 20-40 minutes, depending on the time of year.

Depends on direction. Adelaide is a LONG city, pinned to the Gulf St Vincent coast by the hills, upon rhe face of which nothing is permitted to be built (water catchment). East to west, no more than half an hour. North to south, anything up to two hours, depending on traffic.

15 to 20 minutes, the submarine capital of the world is really small.

What do you have against using question marks?

I’m about to hop on a plane, fly to Toledo and break something else.

    (J/k, mods. Don’t ban me.)

  • It will take 27 minutes to drive 26,2 km from the southernmost point of the city to the northernmost point of the city.  It will take 27 minutes to drive 22,6 km from the westernmost point of the city to the easternmost point of the city.  I got that from Google Maps.  I've taken longer than that to drive between two points in the city.

I sometimes need to drive between our two airports which are 38 km from each other.  That has taken up to two hours.

I don't love this song, but your question brought it to my mind just now:

Out city is pretty much described by a circle - it doesn't have ends. But if I were making a special effort to drive from one side of my city to the opposite side, it would take weeks and weeks, and a long sea voyage. I had always promised myself that if I went on a long trip I would take in the beautiful city of St Petersburg. See you when I get back.   This post was edited by rattbagge at March 27, 2021 11:48 PM MDT

  • It takes about 15-20 minutes to drive from the western end of Sacramento to the eastern on a normal traffic day.
