I don't know the movie, which makes me like the line even better, ha! (I smile even though it might be a drama or something and it could be a moving/dramatic/horrific/sad/funny/ etc moment)
Yes, that was Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther and I think that was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I liked Return of the Pink Panther and Shot in the Dark. I haven't seen Being There.
I had to Google, because I could hear that line and it was driving me crazy.
Oh, but in my brain, I was quite close! Released only 1 year apart and I was connecting actor Paul Gleason to Dan Aykroyd because of their Trading Places connection!
And, for me, I could watch "A Christmas Story" over and over and always enjoy it. I enjoy it all. My point: As much as I enjoy watching that movie, that line - - and actress Melinda Dillon's delivery - - "My Favorite!" line for sure! And Dillon's character is my favorite character in the movie. :)
I like that marathon, too. It is truly a movie I've yet to get tired of watching. :)
And I find 'the Mother' a loving caring mother to her children, too.
PLOT SPOILER!! "A CHRISTMAS STORY"
all of the moments with her and Randy when he gets upset; letting him sit under the sink when he's afraid 'Daddy's going to kill Ralphie' and she gives him a glass a milk and lets him be by himself under the sink. It's all very lovely to me. :)
That line sounds familiar somehow to me. I can't identify it at the moment but it's all good. I asked the question because I thought (and it has proven true) that I would enjoy reading a lot of out-of-context lines that other people like a lot from movies I may not know. :)
