    Yes - in the hands of skilled players. A tyro practising can set your teeth on edge. It looks and sounds like he's got a cat under his arm, its tail in his mouth, and biting it. But a pipe band skirling away is well worth listening to.

    Then there's this (the pipes come in at 1:25) ...

    Bon Scott could sing, sort of. Brian Johnston can't. He also isn't a piper (Scott was a Jock, Johnston is a Geordie). AC/DC's early stuff was tolerable, but it's a crying shame that Bon died just before Back in Black. It could have been their best album, it had some good material - completely ruined by Brian's screaming.
