    Make a wrap that looks like a stick of dynamite or even a bundle of 2 or 3 might look better then answer the door carrying your newspaper to hide the ' dynamite' then when you open the door take the dynamite and push it at them and say "could you please take this away for me"? Might add a bit of effect if you could make a little wisp of smoke coming out of the bundle.

    I'd maybe invite them in and share with them this video/song parody of Adele's "Hello" song.

    I know these guys in the vided are portrayed in Mormons but it's all still done in a fun way. Anyone going door to door for any reason could relate.
