How close do you live near a body of water?

I live a block away from the Atlantic Ocean

My residence is about 1/4 mile from the Pacific ocean (Crab Park beach).

16 miles.  It's an 850 acre reservoir.  

Lake Erie is a few miles away. That's not far enough.

Close enough to spit in it and make the water rise by two feet. 

A bit less than 5 miles from Barker Inlet, a tributary of Gulf St Vincent, which in turn is a gulf of the Southern Ocean.

500 ft? Is that even possible?

Not close, is all I know. 

3 lakes. 
Closest is 4 miles. 
The others are about 10 miles.

Just a few feet...

I'm on a canal that connects to the harbor about a half mile away; the harbor is part of the Gulf of Mexico. 

I live 400 metres from the Dársena Sur River and 2,8 km from the La Plata River.  This is a picture of it I found on Flickr.  This picture wasn't taken by me, but it's 1,3 km from my house.  The river below the camera is the Dársena Sur, and the river in the distance is the La Plata.  The waterway that connects the two and the bridge on the freeway that goes over the water is the border between the City of Buenos Aires and the Province of Buenos Aires.

I am about 13 miles from Folsom Lake and about 60 miles from the San Francisco Bay. 

Five miles from the Missouri river and a forth a mile from a small pond.

Just a few blocks from our local city pier which is the Pacific Ocean. And I only live one block from our city public pool, which I use a few times a week.
