According to Attorney Steve Lehto on Utube, the lie detector test is a sham.   He said there is no way to know what a person is thinking...period, especially through a lie detector test.

How does that show a way to articulate the telling of a lie?

The suggestion was to look at a video on how to beat a lie detector, so I did.  One guy took on the challenge to beat the detector and a very seasoned reader to give the results.  The guy went to a method acting teacher and learned how to articulate the telling of a lie.  He did confuse the detector and won the challenge.  If one has a strong conscience I don't think it would work as you have to believe and live the lie in your mind. However that would apply to lying that benefits the person personally.  Lying as a form of acting is something completely different, as there is no personal gain past the results of your communication to the one you are speaking to. Also knowing the lie will disappear after the scene.
