Those here who are owned by a cat, what is an advantage of a cat over a dog?

Cats don't fart all night like dogs so you get a more pleasant sleep with a cat. Cheers and happy weekend!

If your building has mice, a cat (assuming its a good mouser) will take care of things. ( I own a dog, and am not owned by a cat.)

Cats are much less demanding.  

Can leave a cat at home and he's ok a dog is likely to bark and howl when left alone.

Cat's put free "gel inserts" in your shoes.  Dogs just fetch them.

Cats won't disturb your sleep if something goes bump outside.  Dogs just wont stop barking.

Cats will bring you presents (dead mice, rodents, half a bird, sleeping bat, and such).  Dogs just wag their tails.

There aren't any, all cats are evil. A dog loves you all the time, no matter what. Cats only pretend to do so when it suits them. Complete bastards.

You can leave them for an evening and they don't cry while you are gone.  You don't have to pick up their poop from the grass, they deposit it in the cat box bank.

Sometimes they bring you dinner.
