    OK, I'll bite. Why not just use a coffee filter? They're inexpensive and readily available.

    Probably not edible underpants because they are not porous but a pair of briefs would probably work. The next time I make a pot of coffee for company  I will add a bit of almond powder to the coffee and if somebody says this coffee has a nutty flavor I will say yeah  I ran out of coffee filters so I used a pair of my underpants for a filter.
