OMG, in high school I had a teacher, Jerden See.  Had a big time crush on him.  I just remembered, wow.  I don't want to remember further.........that's it...no more.

We had a substitute teacher in our district named Merry Christmas, Mrs. Christmas to us.  I don't remember any other stand-out names.

We had a school librarian named Candace Shugar. Every one call her Candy. This one is for real. The one in my question is silly.

I hope her parents didn't do that to her.  Mrs. Christmas' given name was spelled Merry since birth but she actually married a Mr. Christmas.  I just was told that by a high school friend on Facebook; we were talking about strange names.  I thought her mother did that to her.

Was the librarian's name pronounced like sugar?

Yep. Her married name. We thought it very cool and she loved it. We all loved her, too. That was when I was teaching. She and her husband were bikers.

Not a teacher but a nerdy looking man came into the classroom to lecture and introduced himself in a squeaky kind of voice saying 'hello my name is Smilee'.

The whole class burst out laughing. This post was edited by Kittigate at August 21, 2021 3:38 PM MDT

Not me personally, but my daughter had a teacher called Poul Midic. Pronounced similar to "Powell Midditch" but of course the kids all called him Pull Me D**k.
