I hate to go to the cinema and just don't do it anymore. The last time I tried was in 2012. We went to see a movie about a singer played by Jennifer Hudson and I can't remember the name of it. It was so damn loud and the screen was so large that you had to continually look from side to side to see it all.....my ears were hurting and I got dizzy and light headed and left to sit on the bench right outside the door of the theatre. I insisted that we not leave and I was perfectly happy to sit out there until they finished the film. I will not go into another theatre for a film. I will go to live performances. Movies make the sound so loud that it is dangerous. I know one other person who, like me, actually experiences pain by extremely loud noise.
Of course I didn't buy cinema snacks.......I have a reputation to uphold. I took my own.
Haha, yes those movie snacks are expensive and you have to live up to your user name:) I don’t go to the theatre often so when I do go I go all out and buy the 20 dollar nachos or popcorn. Agree, I prefer going to live theatre over movies. It’s been about three years since I last went to a play. I miss it.
Bad Moms. It was my daughter-in-law's 21st birthday and she couldn't drink because she was pregnant, so we went to a movie and let her pick. The local drive-in was the only cinema showing that one, so that's where we went. Snacks from home, that's one of the advantages of a drive-in. Five years ago.
Did you like that movie? I watched it when it was available to stream because I kept hearing how good it was. I didn’t really enjoy it myself, but I know I’m in the minority on that.
