According to article New Scientist website some planets in our solar system masquerading as planet Earth. Why you think they would do that?

It creates a phenomenon called ' planet confusion'. Do you think that may be why alien spacecraft have been observed in our skies; having to come in for a closer look?

Their agents told them that if they masquerade as earth, they might get better roles in the future.

Maybe it has something to do with Uranus. Just goofing around  butt I am going to Google it because it seems like it could be interesting. Off topic but I am wondering if you saw that new Frigate that they just docked on the North shore of Vancouver. Cheers and happy weekend!

Hello, no I never got over to the North Shore to take a close-up gander at her yet, maybe tomorrow, they are having open house for visiting all weekend. She's one of six new Arctic offshore patrol vessels. HMCS Harry DeWolf. This post was edited by Kittigate at October 3, 2021 8:06 AM MDT

Probably to get you to use commas where they are needed.

I was running out of space for letters in my question and I didn't think commas were of any significant ranking in priority.

Correct writing, to include correct punctuation, is always a priority. Grrrrrrr.

Here’s just one of many possible alternatives that demonstrates space-saving and allows for including characters that didn’t fit before:

Per an article on the New Scientist website, some planets in our solar system masquerading as planet Earth. Why you think they would do that?

I believe you're missing the word "are" after system and before masquerading?

I copied what Kittigate posted. Technically speaking, especially if and when it’s a headline or a headline-type sentence, a word such as that one can be omitted and it still retains sense.

Oh, I never scrutinize anyone other than you and Stu, so I didn't notice it in the OP.

I don't think or worry about that sort of thing that I have absolutely no control of. Nope. Not for me to wonder and worry about. Sounds weird, though.

I may be wrong, which wouldn't be the first time nor the last, but I think what you described is called perspective distortion.  Or, kind of like a mirage, if you will. I studied astronomy off and on for years and I'm still in awe of the wonders this universe holds. :)

Maybe the writers of the articles are stoners and don't have a clue. The probably believe the earth is round.
