18 years ago my wife and I had a seafood Thanksgiving. Two days later I had a heart attack.

All that good omega fish oil, huh?  After that you had one more thing for which to be thankful.  :)

Non-food answer - I'm not fond of any relatives.

Food answer - Brown turkey meat.

Ham. I can get that pre-cooked, the oven in our kitchen isn't big enough for a Turkey. Even an Ankara won't fit.

Get a counter top roaster. They make the better turkey than an oven anyway. And do not heat up the whole house.

Our first home did not even have a working oven. I used the roaster for everything.

Ankara is the capital of Turkey. Sheesh, I'm surrounded by Philistines.

Neither.  I serve pheasant for holiday dinners.

In this case, I am the hunter.  I live on a farm so I can hunt pheasant on my own property without a license during pheasant season.  I also have a higher limit than those who don’t hunt on their own land.  Anyway, I have nine in the freezer right now.  It’s still pheasant season so I can always get some more if I need them, but I think I have enough for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

  • Turkey is a must on Thanksgiving, but if given the choice between the two, I prefer ham (and we usually have it on Christmas).

  • Turkey and ham aren't a part of my Christmas dinner.  Christmas dinner is all about barbecue.  Turkey and ham are a part of Fiesta del 25 de junio, which isn't an official holiday, but celebrated by my family and friends.  My parents always serve ham for the dinner, but my cousins serve turkey at their house.  I like both.
