48°F, cloudy, rain predicted, slight breeze. A little cool but just about right for this time of year.

62 degrees and just got a severe thunderstorm warning.  The sky has darkened, the rumbling just started and it's raining.  Glad I decided not to go shopping!

  • The temperature here is 28°C (82,4°F) and it's sunny.  Thunderstorms with hail and funnel clouds are off to the west, but they'll lose their intensity by the time they get here.  We'll have heavy rain tonight.

Howling gale force winds, but no rain - the clouds can't stay in place for long enough to drop any.

Very windy and cold though so far at least still above freezing. Just.

Parts of Northern England, Wales and Scotland were hit by an somewhat unusually severe storm on Friday night that caused a lot of transport disruption, and wide power-cuts still being repaired (on Sunday).  I think the cause was a big high-pressure area crossing the North Atlantic. It was mostly dry, just winds, but affected the whole of the British Isles though a bit less severely in the South.

I know of one reported fatality from it - of a motorist in Ireland, whose car was struck by a falling tree.
