Yes. One of my nieces graduated from college in Virginia and driving back to PA from there, we hit white-out conditions. My brother-in-law refused to pull into a motel and wait until the storm passed. We white-knuckled it all the way back to PA. Took us five hours. The amazing part was that the semis were passing us doing 50 mph like it was nothing.
Never a blizzard only an ice storm and snow storms. It looks bad, the Donner Pass kind of awful.

Yes, at least twice. Of course, in each case I had wandered away from my warm safe home and found myself in very high wind and I couldn't see beyond my nose.
I've been in a blizzard at least once every year. Sometimes the airport closes after my flight lands so I must stay in a hotel near the airport until the snow ends and the airport opens.
