    I stopped eating bread.  Not tired of samiches as a result.  Miss them a lot.  Especially those oozing with Hellmans mayonnaise.

    Sometimes I get tired of putting the same things in a sandwich.  If I go out for lunch (which I admit I haven't done since the beginning of the Covid era), I will always choose something that I don't/can't make at home.  That would generally be some kind of panini.       Your parentheses never got opened.

    You missed that I had a comma after "sandwich" instead of a period.  I've corrected both.

      No, nunca.  Is that even a real thing?

    Nunca? Is that Tagalog?

      Not exactly. It’s from the Spanish language, but it is also one of many Spanish words that have the exact same meaning and use in the Philippines. More specifically, the word “nunca” exists a Philippine dialect that is my wife’s family’s native tongue.  The Spaniards were in the Philippines from the late 1500s to the end of the 1800s when the Americans ousted them in the Spanish-American War, 1898.  As such, there are varying degrees of vestiges of the Spanish language that exist in the over 62 languages, sub-languages, dialects, and sub-dialects that comprise Filipino linguistics.

    nunca = never

    I have never been a big fan of sandwiches.  However...........................I have discovered the sandwich built inside a three or four inch piece of French bread.  I have been enjoying this change for the last couple years.  I also like to make sandwiches between two small flour tortillas and toast each side in a hot dry skillet.   I will be having one of these for dinner in a few hours.

    I have stopped eating bread for health reasons, but I sometimes will order a wrap instead. The only times I order sandwiches are two or three times a year when I go out to one of NYC's trademark kosher delis. So no, I am not tired of them.

    Is there a better vehicle for Vegemite? If you haven't tried a Vegemite and grilled cheese sandwich, you haven't lived yet.

    Spread it thin with plenty of butter, or you'll hate it. The mistake most foreigners, particularly Americans, make is to slather it on as thick as the bread, as if it were PB or Nutella. It's way too salty for that, the trick is to spread it sparingly.
