Whether to place both socks on you feet before placing your shoes, or place a sock and shoe on one foot at a time.

Not a question, you put both socks on before your trousers, so you don't have to roll the cuffs up. Then your shoes.

Not necessarily. I put my pants on first, but I don't need to roll them up for my socks.

I saw this episode as a young kid and I've remembered it often! Such a funny show for me. :)

Dude...gloom and doom. How many here would know about the Texas City Explosion?

Yup. True disasters and true crime. People are surprised I'm drawn to such things because I come across as very happy-go-lucky/funny type of person; people tell me they feel good around me because they have a good time with me and they always laugh at me (in a good way). But have always been drawn to the stories behind disasters and tragedies.

Omg - - that Texas City Explosion.

Sounds like you've got lots of interesting tales to talk and teach about!

They're all certainly interesting to me, yes! Unsure if too many others would agree with me, ha.  :)

I totally get it. I have some unusual fascinations, too. ;)
I just watched a documentary about this cult that settled in Oregon in the 1980s and it was crazy! I totally binge-watched all 6 episodes. It's called 'Wild, Wild Country'. I can't remember if it was Hulu or Netflix. Very interesting story and characters; I enjoyed it. I marveled that I have no recollection of having heard about the story at the time it occurred!

    :) Thanks.

The cult sounds like something that would intrigue me. I'm thinking I may have heard a bit about it. And I could have added the Jim Jones story to my original answer, too.
It's interesting to me that before the tragic cult stuff he did some really admirable things.

Yeah, seems like we've talked about cults a time or two, maybe?

Yeah, I wonder if Jones really bought what he was selling with his civil rights work or if he just realized how much he could use and manipulate people by selling himself off as a loving liberal Christian? In the end, a large number of his victim followers, those living essentially as slaves, were Black.

You know... this is somehow making me think of a guy who sold himself off as a patriotic, pro-life Christian in order to use and manipulate people into voting him president!

Things that make you go hmmmm! ;)

Yes, I've thought along those same lines on all of those things, too.  :)

And I really like that song. :)

“ . . . begin the commencement . . . ” as used in the context of your post, is blatantly and obviously redundant.

    :(
