Discussion»Questions»Legal» Should vaccine makers be shielded from liability if the vaccine/shot is recommended by the government? Should taxpayers pay up?
The pharmacy company should NEVER be shielded from liability; people should NEVER lose the ability to sue a company for a product that harms them. NEVER.
You cannot contract away the duty of care that, when breached, defines and results in negligence.
I agree but they are shielded and have been for decades. This is why they are pushing covid jab for kids. If it gets on childhood vaccine schedule they have no liabilty for their damage caused.
'Sovereign immunity' protects the government against lawsuits. However the Federal Tort Claims Act allows certain claims to pass. So suing the government is possible.
I lost a close family member a few days after their 2nd shot. I know a man who survived the disease and got both shot 1 and 2. Both times it put him in the hospital. He said he will not be getting any boosters. His wife got both no problems. (so far)
Why should they not have to be responsible for their product? (In US, it is not just covid shots that do not have liability. It is all vaccines that are gov recommended)
