I prefer coffee rather than hot chocolate. Does that legitimately make me 'in the first person' to ask a question on AM for 2022?

      Are you referring to the first person singular tense of speech? The way you’ve written it and punctuated doesn’t have anything whatsoever with first person, instead, it makes it as if you’re saying you’re physically inside another person. Do we need that here on a family show? Grrrrrrrr.

    I meant the question in first person, eg I, me, my, mine etc.
    Second person: you, yours, your, etc.
    Third person: they, them, themselves, etc.

    Saying 'i prefer coffee.'  in the question puts me in line to be the winner by my use of the first person term 'i'. Uh.. doesn't it?
