Do you still have a landline telephone?

I have less problem being vaxxed, boosted and wearing a mask than I do having to replace a phone with which there's nothing wrong.

    Yes, I get that.
I hope my comment up there made sense. Yeah, I think I'd get a bit angry being told that a phone with which I'm satisfied will no longer be serviced. I keep hearing about such things happening.
I just tried to add some humor about it with Lily Tomlin. She is so funny to me.  :)
    Be Well!
Have to go to work now.

I was funny and I did get your point. :)  Before you know it, I'll have to replace my 45-year old Zenith television set!

Thanks, SpunkySenior. I appreciate your reassurance. And 45 Zenith years - excellent!

The TV has never given me a moment of trouble.  There is no TV I could buy today that would last 45 years.  Of course, if it did, I'd be 121 years old and probably wouldn't care. :)

No, I got rid of it maybe five years ago. For last two years I had it I only used it to call my mobile when I couldn’t find it.

The last couple of years before I got rid of my land line, it was used solely for faxes.

Hey, wait . . . ! That’s why my phone calls to Canada never go through? Grrrrrrrr.

That's one thing I enjoy about my landline -- I never misplace it.
    (I have a mobile, too.)

We have a line with no phone connected. I give that number when I don't want to give out my cell number.

No, I gave it up a few months ago when I moved. I realized I was paying for a line that only got spam calls. My cell phone filters most of them out.

    Yes.
It's nice to have as I never knew there were so many nice people out there who are looking out for me.   A lady calls to remind me when my car warranty is about to expire so I can pay it before I incur a late fee.  Apple calls and tells me whenever my account gets hacked (which is quite often).  A nice Microsoft technician always calls me whenever he finds a threat on my computer.  Why, when my grandchildren travel internationally, I'm the first one they call if they get into financial problems.

We cut the cord a few months ago, also cut the cable. No more land line telephone, no more cable television. I fully rely on the cell phone to alert me when Australian smugglers attempt to get Vegemite into the US or when unscrupulous food service workers slip mayonnaise into my sandwich fixings or when rival harem operators muscle in on my territory. Grrrrrrrr.

So, if you cut the cable cord, what do you use to get TV service - an antenna or rabbit ears like we used to have?
