I find that funny, because there are at least 3 local restaurants that have prime rib dinner specials every Friday.
Even before COVID, you had to get your order in early or risk not getting one.
I have heard/seen people get upset when they came too late - and threaten to "never come here again".
Yet, the following week, they are back.  Generally earlier, so they hope there will still be specials available.

I think if you're going to riot because a restaurant doesn't have a particular menu item - you have a mental problem that needs to be treated.

EDIT:  Found the news story.
Allegedly, it wasn't because they ran out of meat - it was because someone got their serving before the person in line ahead of them.
Which happens if they order it less cooked than the other person - which allegedly is what happened.

Still, it's Golden Corral.
How good can the steak be?

We have a fine dining restaurant that had $15.99 prime rib specials pre-covid. Now they are $22.99

That doesn't answer the question. Some men might like a daily splash.
