Haven't signed in in a while. But I've perused the site now and then when I had a second. I wanted to reply to you and Jane S about my 'Elvis leaving the building' post but I can't find it now. I'll post to her, too. But I did not mean to sound like I disliked Elvis. I admit I'm not a huge fan but I really admire his talent/s. And I admire anyone who has served in armed forces - - something that would be very challenging for me to do, I know.
Anyway, I regret if my post came across as derogatory.
    :)

Didn't take it as derogatory.  Just try and understand that those of us who are HUGE Elvis fans don't ever want to hear anything less than positive about him.  We realize he is not everyone's cup of tea. :)

    Thank you so much.  :)

That man is someone who indeed deserves huge fans. The more I hear him and find out about his life -- very remarkable. I admit I've not seen a single movie of his. I simply didn't pay close attention when he was alive.

Yeah, and that post I did -- I really was only trying to make a joke about him leaving a building.  :)

To be honest, I don't remember seeing that many of his movies, but I listened to every song he ever recorded.  Looking back, I feel sorry that he was used by his handler.  All Elvis wanted to do was sing and Col. Parker insisted that he become an actor, which he didn't really want to do.  I think that's what led him to the drugs and his eventual death.  Very sad ending to what could have been a really good life.

Everyone jokes about Elvis leaving the building - no offense intended and none taken.

All the things you've said here come back  bit to me about him, yeah. But I don't think I knew that he didn't really want to be in movies. I like his singing voice, too.

Not too long ago I saw a musical based on many of the songs he made famous. The musical had nothing to do with Elvis as a person but a fictional plot with all of his songs -- I liked it. It reminded me about how many great songs he sang.

He had a smooth voice.  I think I read somewhere that of all his albums, the only one for which he won a Grammy was his gospel album.

He wasn't hard to look at either. :)

Jane S and SpunkySenior had replied to one of my answers to a CosmicWunderkind question  - I had intended to reply to each of them there but I couldn't find CW's question. So, I came here. Sorry for any confusion.

The question of his I was looking for was a different one but I saw you had asked Cosmic if another question of his had been deleted.

    It's okay Pancho.
'Pancho' in Other Languages. British English: laid-back /ˈleɪdbæk/ ADJECTIVE. If you describe someone as laid-back, you mean that they behave in a relaxed way as if nothing ever worries them. This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at February 5, 2022 7:08 PM MST

Are you talking about physical, paper mail ... or electronic formats, as well?

Physical mail ... probably around 10%.

Electronic mail ... probably around 90% goes directly to my junk folder.
That isn't counting what gets immediately deleted, since I have no idea how many of those there are.

You failed to cite my answer to your other mail question as the inspiration for this one. What's up with that?
