      I believe it was about 9 years old when I last participated in tug-o-war. Wait, no. I just remembered that we did it in boot camp too; I was 18 then. Meh, it was ok. No big deal. When I was a kid, we were at a park and two classes completed against each other. There were two low grassy hills that either team was on, bisected by a dry streambed about knee-deep that served as our middle ground.

      In boot camp, it was probably a squad or two from my platoon against our opposite number from another platoon. There was a large muddy pit in the middle.
