Without looking in your yearbook, do you remember the names of the quarterback and the head cheerleader on your high school football team?
This question is USA-centric, I know. It was inspired by this discussion: https://answermug.com/forums/topic/136506/is-being-an-quot-alpha-male-quot-just-a-silly-societal-concept/view/post_id/950062
Very impressive! Were you on the high school football team or do you just have a good memory?

I have all of my yearbooks from school. My friends and I saved our parents a lot of money by not telling them when it was time to get our senior pictures. We just took selfies instead of going to professional photographers.
Don’t feel bad, Element. My spell checker doesn’t seem to be working tonight either, so now I have those ugly This post was edited boxes after half of my replies.
I still live in the same area. I see several classmates and school peers around now and then. Unlike most people I know, I got along with everyone in school. Somehow I learned early in life to be myself and yet get along with others who were different than me. I distinctly remember while in school many classmates talking about "that clique" "that group" and nicknames for that group or that other group -- and how if you were in one group you didn't talk to, or associate with, anyone in that other group -- blahblahblah.
I shook my head in disbelief then. I shake my head now.
EDIT: End of my going-off-topic.

Cool. I just looked up the football from my high school yearbook. I can’t find if any of them went on to play college football.

Both co-captain cheerleaders were and are still friends. I went to football games but didn't spend any time actually watching the games. I sincerely don't know who played what position. I imagine we were friends, though. I have much better recollection of who played what position in basketball and who were the co-captains. I've seen them both within the past 5 years and would still consider them to be friends.
I’ve been out of high school for ten years and I still have basically the same friends I did in high school. Only one of my friends moved to another state but we still keep in touch. She moved to LA. She‘s the most financially successful in my friend group but she’s also the unhappiest about her career in our friend group. It’s weird how that happens.
Peter Brown. He also played clarinet in the symphonic band with me. I played flute. He went on to Colgate, only an hour and a half up the road from me at Cornell. I just saw him at our 40th reunion a couple of years ago.
On a somewhat related note, the professor who directed the glee club I was in at Cornell played football (running back) when he was in college at Emory & Henry in Virginia. He also directed the marching band at halftime.
