(Humorous replies, please.) What is it about you that confuses me?

  It’s just that I’m so unaccustomed to hearing it.  Usually, there’s a lot of swooning.

  “Refuse” is such an ugly term. I prefer to see it as you playing hard to get so that you can negotiate a better deal. I’m patient.
