Which state? And that's for each state to decide. We wouldn't want the federal government to trample on states' rights, would we?

I am not saying a Federal law....I am asking if all states should  pass it.

    FL made it a felony.

That’s really 49 separate questions. But it would be difficult to enforce anyway. Plus the real issue is casting multiple ballots, not possessing them. Does Florida’s government think Trump won the state because of such shenanigans?

Do you really want me to post the same basic question 49 times????  Surely not.

If you  catch someone before they get to the drop box then you can charge them then and not have to wait until they put them in the box.   Makes it easier to secure our elections.

Why would you wait until you believe your election was compromised before your secure ot?

Of course not. But what motivated Florida to do that? They must think there was an issue with the state's election. I thought that only happened in the states Biden won. Interesting.

There are several people caught on video stuffing drop boxes with multiple ballots in several states.  Seeing this was happening all over the country they passed the law making it a felony, to prevent it from happening in FL and to be able to arrest people before they attempted to stuff the box.   Personally,  I think every state should pass this all...regardless of who won the state in 2020.

But unless you have police surveillance just about everywhere, it would be impossible to enforce.

As I said several people (hundreds) were filmed doing just this.  This law makes it illegal at every step not just the drop off ballot box. It makes it easier to prosecute them. And gives a stronger penalty than before.

But previous instances would not be subject to prosecution. They would need to catch people in the future.

Which is WHY they passed the law to be able to prosecute people in the future. And why I think every state should pass this law now.

What are laws if the rich and wealthy just ignore them like Mark Meadows. What are laws if they aren't enforced?

There were lots of people filmed in several states in 2020 returning multiple times with many ballots to stuff in the ballot drop boxes.

There is no reason for anyone to be in possession of more than one, other than perhaps convenience within a family.  The need for this restriction outweighs any objection I can think of.

I am assuming the 2 allowed are your own and your spouse's  ballot. But have not verified directly.

The example you used is someone putting more than one ballot in the ballot box.  If they are each for different voters, why is that a problem?  Perhaps the person is collecting ballots from neighbors and friends so they don't have to make the trip to the ballot box.  I could certainly understand this happening in a senior/nursing home situation.  Why should doing a favor for others be illegal?

Because the voters represented by the additional ballot may or may not be legit.  They may not even be alive.  I want all states to outlaw any voting other than in-person with ID.

And what about people who can't get to the ballot box?  The elderly, the inform, the ill, etc.  Should they not be able to vote?

People can manage.  Before there was a choice no one complained about getting to the polls to vote.  It's important enough to take this step to help ensure legal and fair elections.

Nursing home situation would be a requested absentee ballot returned by  mail.  Not returned to an unmanned drop box.

Many states have laws against returning ballots for multiple people.  For election security.

States should be making it easier for people to cast their votes, not more restrictive.  Very few of the districts that the GOP claimed committed voter fraud were proven to be so.  Minority districts generally vote Democrat, so people like you would love to make it as hard as possible for them to cast a ballot.

I would go even further.  I like the idea of mandatory voting so this wouldn’t be able to exist as an accusation, but as usual, most of my opinions are in the minority.

I don't know if I would go so far as mandatory voting, but it is time for states to stop thwarting those who do want to vote from doing so, e.g., states where there is one ballot box for 100,000 voters is criminal or having to drive miles and miles to cast your ballot.  What are these states afraid of?
