Have you started doing anything different since Russia invaded the Ukrain?

I have always grow Russian sunflowers but this year I threw away the Russian sunflower seeds that I saved from my last years plants and planted a different strain of sunflowers. And I swear on a stack of Ukrainian babushkas that I will never grow another Russian sunflower again. Cheers and happy weekend!

No. I still put Russian dressing on the occasional turkey sandwich.

Grandmother in Ukrainian is бабуся, pronounced babucya. Oddly enough, my sister brought over some photos of my great grandparents from Russia in the late 19th century.

I just realize in shock and awe that good people get their heads run over by bad dictators on chariots. This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at April 23, 2022 2:21 PM MDT

I donated medical supplies.  They still need more first aid kits etc:  check locally and see what you can do, they need all the help they can get.

It is good that you donate medical supplies - I donate too. But I also what to change a few things in my personal life that will be a constant reminder of my respect for the Ukraine and also my disrespect for Russia. I thought of another change I will be making - I have always had lots of Canadian flags in my yard but from now on every other one is going to be a Ukrainian flag. Cheers and happy weekend!

Great idea!  I hope it encourages others to remember the struggle of the Ukraine.

It already has started to encourage others to remember the struggle in the Ukraine and to bad mouth Putin at the same time. Last year I gave a few people some seeds from my Giant Russian sunflowers but a couple days ago I phoned them up and told them to throw those Russian seeds away and I will start them some non Russian sunflowers plus we exchanged Putin jokes. Sunflowers are the Ukrainian National flower so I am thinking of growing a few starter plants and give them away. Cheers and happy weekend!

Driving less. The price of petrol (gasoline) has increased exponentially.
