Did you enjoy children's books like Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little? If you did, it's because EB White learned to omit needless words from Professor Strunk in college. Some little school up in the sticks of central New York state where I learned, or tried to learn, the same thing about 60 years later. Hold the phone, Ramone. How can you tell someone else the reason that he or she enjoyed something? Even agreeing with your stance that the way it was written is an enjoyable factor, that does not mean it’s automatically the reason that another person enjoyed the book. It is theoretically possible that someone got something enjoyable out of the book, and it does not have to be what you found enjoyable.  It is theoretically possible that more than one enjoyable factor exists  in the book, or maybe not even the writing at all, it could’ve been the pictures, or the concept, or the idea, but someone got something out of the book that they found enjoyable and it does not have to match up to what you got out of it.

  You don’t get a pass for deciding how people should think or what they should think.

It's a reasonable supposition that the quality of White's writing was at least partially responsible for the popularity of his books. That's not telling anyone how or what to think.

  It’s all a conspiracy, people are always trying to drag me through the mud, it doesn’t hurt anyone if I have a measly hundred thousand or two or three lying around, I won’t stand for it, I’m not the one with the problem, it’s everyone else because they haven’t allowed themselves to just let go and collect tildes of their own, I hear what they whisper about me behind my back,  it’s all really just poorly-disguised  jealousy and envy, if they come for my tildes, they’ll learn the meaning of the word “fight”, I don’t really have that many of them anyway, inventorying and cataloging my tildes calms me down, if it’s so bad, companies wouldn’t make these wonderful tilde-collection vaults for home or office, it’s not as is I name each tilde or sleep with them under the pillow, the DMV let me have a driver’s license, so I must not be cray-cray, tilde collecting isn’t even mentioned (specifically) in any journals of psychological disorders, famous people collect things all the time without being vilified the way that I’m being vilified, everyone is out to get me . . .
