Will you name a hobby most people would consider unusual?

Collecting fingernail and toenail clippings. That's quite unusual, in my opinion.

  • Collecting barf bags from different airlines. It's a real hobby that some people have.

  • I've met four passengers who were barf bag collectors.  They treat them like people would treat other collectibles.

Reading about, and then travelling to, true crime and natural disaster sites:

I've been numerous times to Johnstown, Pennsylvania, USA -- huge May 31, 1889 dam failing and then flood.

Also, I spent a night alone as the only guest at the house (converted to a Bed and Breakfast) where Andrew and Abby Borden were murdered - the Lizzie Borden site  -- Fall River, Massachusetts, USA

I've been to Hinckley, Minnesota area, USA - - the September 1 through September 6, 1894 huge wildfire

I've read a lot about the April 16, 1947 Texas City Disaster, Texas City, Texas, USA

I visited the World Trade Center, including the observation deck atop the north tower, dozens of times before the fact of 9/11. I worked within walking distance of it for roughly 12 years.

I think that it can be done respectfully - it's history, really. I like it!

    Thanks.
Yes, I do it in a respectful way. I'm usually quite quietly in awe when I've visited the sites. And all of the events/disasters about which I've read -- they all have something for all of us to learn.

I've also spent the night at Lizzie Borden's house.

My nephew, albeit psychiatrically disabled, keeps snakes and plays the recorder.

    Is herpetology unusual?

Adult recorder-player - yes, that is a bit odd.

Sneaking into abondoned buildings and drawing skeletons on the walls  ← Charles Addams used to do this when he was a kid... yes, THE Charles Addams!

Citations you’ve received, or citations in general?

Right now I’m running out of room for my own but I’m hoping to expand soon.

Perhaps she means an anticipatory collection of the many she has yet to receive.

I believe that counts as intentionally baiting a grammar cop, would you agree?
