Now that summer is here

Not into the forest

It's the middle of winter here and cold enough to freeze 'em off a brass monkey.

Camping. 

Collect ticks. Cute little buggers...and loyal.

 

  Hiking is the first thing that comes to mind, but it’s not something I often do. I have done it in the past, and I would do it again some day.

Play hide and go seek. I have a tracking dog and I have tracking skills so I always win. Cheers!

I also like to hunt for mushrooms and fungus. My favorite but most dangerous mushroom to hunt is Oyster mushrooms they are one of the few mushrooms in the world that are carnivorous so you have to sneak up on them and bag them. Stay on/near well-marked trails, look at everything, maybe find an animal, take pictures, try not to get lost. 

Summer isn't here for me. The first two lines of this song describe the view from my window.




I have different activities to do in the forest during this time of the year. I love both downhill skiing and cross-country skiing so I would go cross-country skiing. I'm dreaming of my next ski trip.

The weather on Sunday and Monday was perfect for people who love winter activities.



The weather wasn't good for motorists. The towing companies are still trying to move hundreds of cars and trucks that were stuck in the snow.

This is what I do deep in the woods during the summer.

Take a leak and get back in the car.
