Very loud music Loud talkers in places they should modulate their voices People who think they're better than others Nosy people People who interrupt when you're talking to them Beef stew
Synthetic fabrics is one I haven't thought of, a good one though. They are all worthy, I especially like the plastic food containers, never gave any thought, it has a lot of merit.
Oh trust me, in many respects, the Mid-Atlantic East Coast is just as bad... if not worse! You mention that walking around Phoenix, Arizona is like walking inside of an oven? Well, during July and August in Baltimore, the temperatures and high humidity can get so bad that it is literally like walking around at the bottom of a large kettle of soup! So, not only are you hot but also covered in sweat! Imagine walking around all day with a hot wet sheet wrapped around you!

You would love living by the ocean in California. A cool breeze comes in every evening and is heaven. The sound of the seagulls and fog horn is a plus. Tourists stop coming in September and you can have the beach all to yourself and the few others that live there. It never gets dull living by the ocean or in Southern California. The mountains are close by and you never runout of places to go or things to do. Bike paths along the beach are wonderful, I still can't believe I had to leave.
