My bank just sent an email saying, "Read our annual consumer privacy notice."

Do you actually read such things? Does anyone actually read such things? I never have and never will.

    Um... no.  Waste of my time.  They're going to do whatever they want despite what they may say.   They just issue an amendment and call it legal.

    I'll break it down for you. 

    We value your privacy and all that, but we will collect and probably sell any and all your personal information for the right price. You can opt out of certain aspects by emailing us no fewer than 10 times, but it really won't make a difference.
