Not including that big one they shot down over the ocean there were 2 other small ones. One near Deadhorse and a second near Yukon Canada. The one near the Yukon must of been in Canadian air space because it was Justin Trudeau that ordered it shot down. I don't think they have learned much about any of them yet. Cheers!

(Comma after the words “ocean” and “airspace”.)
(In the context it’s used here, “airspace” is one word, not two.)
      (must of have been)
      (Trudeau that who)

I can't wait to hear the press release on this one. If they use the ole weather balloon excuse again I'll fall out of my chair laughing.

Fräulein Kerner warned us about this 40 years ago, but we didn't take her seriously. 3 down, 96 to go ...

Do you think one of the reasons it wasn't taken seriously is because in America the tittle was changed from 99 Luftballons to 99 Red Balloons? Red balloons makes it sound like the song is about a birthday party or something like that. Cheers!

I just goggled Luftballons and it still means 99 balloons so maybe that is not the reason people didn't take the song  seriously. Cheers!

There are a couple theory's about the balloons floating around on the Internet. One is that the balloons are dropping electronic targeting markers. I don't believe that because all the targets are probably all ready locked in. The other one is the balloons are dropping electronic detonators for bombs that are already planted or bombs that will be planted. I think that is possible because if the bombs are set off it would be hard to prove that it was China or Russia  because they could just claim it was US terrorists. There was a F Troop  episode were they shot down a spy balloon with an arrow. I think they should do something like that but with a high altitude arrow. Then the balloon would slowly descend  and they could find out what is in them. Cheers!

They've still to find, salvage and analyse the wreckage, haven't they? (On 13th Feb.)
