    Reigns Only Rain

You're a detective in a city where the downpour never stops, and you investigate a series of strange crimes. It makes you choose between loyalty and morality: whether to side with an old friend, or with someone who is more honest...

I'd probably be in your game simply sitting on a park bench enjoying the rain. :)

The detective would repeatedly tell others, "No, pay no attention to WQ, he just likes the weather."

    :)

What’s enjoyable about getting wet in the rain?

I wouldn't exclude the option of an umbrella, hehe.

Indeed, yes. :) If I were sitting there on a bench in the rain (which, like I said, I would very likely do), I'd probably be using an umbrella.  :) This post was edited by WelbyQuentin at March 29, 2023 5:10 PM MDT

For me, I'd take getting wet in the rain every time as compared to getting ungodly hot and sweaty and burnt in the overbearing sun on a beach (or anywhere).

Sitting on a park bench in the rain (especially at night, like Danilo_G's picture; and most likely with an umbrella, like he mentioned)) -- I would enjoy the potentially centering aspect of it all -- listening to night sounds and the scattered rhythm of raindrops. Peaceful to me. Always has been.

I've been this way my entre life -- when I was very young, if I saw it was raining outside, I'd put on a light coat (maybe) and my boots (maybe) and run outside and play in the rain.

"Every mother, meteorologist and medicine man in the country has been trying to put a stop to it... and you're telling me he likes it?"

That's quite an image - I dig it! (Speaking of images, there's one from Ghent.)

    Thanks!  :)

I love that picture you've used, too.

And I like your quote of someone in the game.  :)

    I do remember it.
And that quote applies to me as strongly as ever.  :)

I would call it "Little Old ______" (to be completed by user, for example "Lady", "Man", or whatever you like). The user could configure their own persona in whatever alter ego they picture themselves.

The format of the game would find "Little Old People" in various situations requiring assistance or rescue. There would be several "Little Old People" to select for help/rescue. Did you pick the right one? Did your choice live in the end or die? If your "Little Old ______" lived, were they poor (no reward, just a thanks or a whack with a cane) or rich (big reward)? If your choice died in the end, no thanks, no reward, no score.

That's a nursery rhyme for toddlers and a rip on "Ten Little Indians." Unfortunately, IMO, it doesn't sound like much fun as a game and I doubt it would sell.

Element didn't say that it had to be good. He didn't say it had to sell. I was looking for something else when I stumbled on the old men and I LIKED it. You don't have to!

I note that you gave it a thumbs up!! This post was edited by NYAD at March 28, 2023 10:03 AM MDT

You probably didn't notice or didn't remember that about a week ago I answered the question on my sense of humor as "silly business".

That's very original, but it does remind me of certain Japanese video games where the player traverses a city after it is hit by natural disasters (earthquake, tsunami). You've got a backpack, some food and water, plus basic medical items. The general idea is to talk to people and figure out ways in which you can help them.

I would call it "The Congress War." Democrats vs Republicans in a no hold barred free for all wrestling match. Winner becomes President.

I thought of another video game I might create called STEW. It will be a 2 player game. Player one posts interesting questions and or replies. Player 2 will see them and then log off and stew about them for a half hour.  Then player 2 will return and argue about those questions or replies until the cows come home. If Player one makes it past the cows they get to smack player 2 with a My Pillow Guy pillow. Cheers! This post was edited by Nanoose at March 29, 2023 7:44 PM MDT

This made me laugh!! I'm not sure this would be much fun for Player 1, but it could make Player 2 feel good.

I think many of us already play your game.  But trade places sometimes.  :)
