What's the same song title to two (or more?) different songs in which you MUCH prefer one song over the other/s?

"I Kissed a Girl"

I MUCH prefer Jill Sobule's song over Katy Perry's song. If you disagree with me, you're wrong (ha, kidding).

Power of Love - three completely different songs with this title were released within a year and all charted.

Of the three, I prefer Huey Lewis and the News.

I can't think of any songs where they are completely different and have the same title. Isn't that a copyright thing? I have heard different artists perform the same songs and I have my favorites. Is that what you had in mind? If so, I can give numerous answers.

I did mean two completely different song with the same title, not covers of songs by various people or groups.
I don't know about copyrights but I know the two songs in my question are two completely different songs. If you get a chance, give them a listen.
Sobule's song came out much sooner and I love it in comparison to Perry's (which was a much bigger hit but I don't care, ha).

I prefer 'Drive' by Incubus to 'Drive' by The Cars. Kind of surprising, because I generally prefer The Cars to Incubus.

I LOVE that The Cars' song- - my favorite song by the group.  Great music video, too, to me.

I like Incubus' song, too -- nice! Didn't know of it before now.

I know that it was very popular. I didn't care for it. I prefer earlier Cars in general. My fave might be 'Since You're Gone'.

When I think about it, I think I like everything I've heard from them. :)

Been listening again and Incubus' song is sounding familiar - - I've heard it before. I like it.

This is so difficult that it’s almost impossible to choose because I like both of these songs equally that have the same title: “Heart and Soul” by Huey Lewis and The News (1982) as a cover song of the band Exile* (1981), and by T’Pau (1987).

*Disclaimer: I am completely unaware of Exile’s version of this song.

I like both those songs, too. I prefer HL&tN, though.  I'm afraid I'm not understanding whom did a cover of what by the way I'm reading. Are you saying that Huey Lewis and the News' "Heart and Soul' is a cover of an Exile song? What?! I had no idea. Must turn to youTube, stat!

I had no idea Huey Lewis covered Exile’s song either until I read it on Wikipedia.

As I read your answer, all I can think of at this moment is how much I adore T'Pau's song -- I fall into it every time I hear it.
That's all I can think of now a far as the rest of your answer.  :)
Thanks for reminding me of T'Pau.

Welby, here’s a chance for a bit of trivia: do you know from where the group derived its name?

It was the name of a fictional character on the original “Star Trek” television series, a dignitary of the Vulcan race. She was considered the wisest of the wise in a society that valued logic (rather than emotions) as the guiding basis for all things in life.

I never paid close attention to what she looked like. I watched the music video again  - and she is pretty for sure!
