This link can't be opened without allowing ads - not interested enough to do that.

Same thing with the second link.  Any link to the FOX article will require allowing ads.  It isn't an issue with the link, it's an issue with FOX.

The second link is not FOX.

Almost all news sites require you to either allow ads or subscribe to their site.

I was able to open this link.  I think what happened to this little girl is disgusting and the boys who participated - in whatever way - should be removed from the school.  All of the children involved should be required to be evaluated and given appropriate counseling.  I can only imagine what kind of household these boys come from

I goggled it and it seems that the only news source that is covering it is Fox. Which makes me suspect that it is a fabricated story to draw attention away from Trump's rape trial. Cheers!

Either you typed it in Google wrong or Google is hiding the story. I also posted a link to another site covering the disgusting situation.
I use Brave browser and search:

I didn't click the links. I hope that mandatory reporters did their jobs and that child welfare officials and judges are able to do theirs. I hope all children involved are given the counseling they need and can recover.

It has been reported to the police and Family services. I do not understand how these boys are still in the school with their victim(s).

The standards of what constitutes abuse are shocking. Authorities are forced to operate within the laws. Children are left to rot in appalling situations because parental rights are valued more than protecting children or ending cyclic, generational abuse.  There are not enough decent foster homes or other care facilities to house abused/neglected children, there aren't enough funds, etc.

These are things to keep in mind when considering one's stance on outlawing abortion. At least those unwanted children don't live torturous lives that end up making them into abusers themselves. This post was edited by SavvyAnsley at May 6, 2023 11:38 AM MDT

Sorry but I do not believe it is ever better to kill an unborn child because the parent is a POS. There are plenty of good people who would adopt unwanted/abused children.

But child abuse is not an excuse for the ultimate abuse of taking an innocent life.

I'd like to know where those good people are, and why more unwanted, neglected and abused children aren't adopted.

I've only come around to see safe, legal, early-term (unless extraordinary circumstances exist) abortion on demand as a necessary 'evil' in the past few years. Between global overpopulation, lack of social programs and funding to support low-income parents, astronomical adoption costs and the tragic outcomes of neglected and abused children and the havoc many end up causing society, I had to rethink my strong anti-abortion position.

As always, those with money and power will not be affected by the lack of affordable and legal abortions that many areas of the country are now experiencing. Only those unable to afford to travel are being impacted. I doubt that adoption costs will drop dramatically, allowing these unwanted children to be adopted by loving, would-be parents. More children will suffer. I do not see it as a win.

Majority if children in foster care are not eligible for adoption. The goal is to return them to the parent, in other cases there is a time required to go through the court process to removed the legal parents rights. This normally takes a year or more. Most children spend less than 2 yrs in the system before being adopted.

Even if the spent 18 yrs in the system it would still be better that just killing them.

I strongly suspect that I have more direct, real-life experience than you in these matters. That being said, I know from experience that you are incapable of seeing things from another's perspective. Your opinions are always 'right', your 'facts' are always correct.

Yes, I have strong opinions and base them in facts. I have especially strong feelings on the topic of abortion.

Yes an ill timed or worse situation resulting in pregnancy is/can be a bad thing...but killing a baby is also a bad thing and does not make it better.

The parents should be tried, and if found guilty, sentenced, as if they perpetrated the crimes these children are alleged to have committed. Bear in mind that the "presumption of innocence" applies.

I disagree a parent should not be responsible for their minor child's action as if they themselves committed them. They certainly should be financially responsible for any damages their child causes. (In this case, paying for the counseling this girl will need) Their household certainly needs to be investigated to see if these boys have also been abused and/or how they were exposed to this type of knowledge to start with...

This happened on video...we know it happened.

So you investigate the parents, find out that someone has serious porn on the iPad the kids were using.  Then what?

Then you apply the laws that apply to porn on a government electric device to whomever put the porn on it. And what laws apply to porn generally. And inform Family Services of the situation.
The video on the device in this case is of the abuse carried out by the boys in this school of the female classmate.

How do you know this was a government issued iPad?

From the reports...It was the school's iPad
This is why the teacher was able to bring the iPad to the IT person at the school to remove the password someone has placed on it. If it was a private owned IPad the school would not have that authority and likely not the ability to remove the password.
