Will you be doing anything new/exciting this fall and winter?

This fall/winter will be the first time in over 30 years that I will heat my home with electricity instead of with firewood. So turning a dial to warm up my place will be pretty new and exciting. Cheers!

I wonder if you'll be that excited when you get your first home heating bill. :)

I figuring that I am going to be pleasantly surprised and maybe even come ahead  a little bit. We have already got a hydro bill for the summer months and it included running fans and air coolers. I won't be running those during the fall and winter. So maybe the energy I used for them will = the energy I use for heating. At our last place I used about a hundred dollars of firewood each month so even if my bill goes up $100 it will be  well worth it. Cheers!

I guess the other advantage is that you don't have to go out and chop firewood or go to the store for it. :)

If we don't have another delay we are going north for a couple of weeks to enjoy Autumn.

I plan to again see a favorite-for-me comedian, Brian Regan.

And I also plan to see a favorite-for-me musician, Chris Isaak.

    Remodeling a house.

Other than that same as every year.

Hope you adjust well to the electric heat.....I think it is a colder heat than both wood or gas. If you have a heat pump or geothermal heating.  When it gets cold (under 40°) you need to turn on the emergency heat strips.   Personally, we run ours anytime the heat is on.  We are switching to propane this season.  This post was edited by my2cents at September 28, 2023 7:06 PM MDT

October is my favourite month. I've got my birthday tomorrow and my wedding anniversary on the 19th.
