Do you blindly assign blame to the sitting president for every law or policy you disagree with?

Or do you only do that if the candidate you supported lost the election?

No, I do not.  I try very hard to place blame, if there is blame to be placed, on the person who caused the problem.

I assign blame to the person who passed the policies that caused the problems.

The president doesn't make the laws and his policies have to be voted on by Congress.

Don’t split hairs. You repeatedly mention Biden.

Not all laws are Federal laws.  I have some are state laws and there are plenty of idiot Governors in the US as well.  Illinois is prime example.  But yes, Biden has more than his share of stupid policies.

I not the one splitting hairs.  Congress/state legislators also has to write the laws for the President/Governor to sign/veto.  If they are bad the sponsors get blame as well.

And yet you repeatedly blame and criticize Biden while acting like Trump is the second coming of both George Washington and Grover Cleveland (the only president to be elected again after having been defeated as an incumbent). Yes, I criticize Biden. He passes and promotes things I disagree with.  He has caused inflation with his energy and foreign policies. (No, laws passed jusr his positions as POTUS) He refuses to close and secure the border. (No laws passed rl do this...just his positions as POTUS) He shows weakness causing our enemies not to worry about our positions on issues. He wanted to mandate every American take an experimental injection. (Again, he did not have the laws passed nationwide but supported the position...he did make it mandatory for some federal employees) And so many more idiotic things.ww supports and has done.
The person in the office of the President positions matter whether there were actual laws passed or not.  POTUS has power beyond just passing laws and executive orders.

Trump is the only President in my lifetime to support my policies and actually try to implement them.

We know you think all of that.

That’s why you denying having mentioned Biden in your answer was a crock of BS.

The topic was in general who do you blame.  Many laws that I disagree with were passed long before Biden was POTUS....Reagan, Bush (1 and 2), Clinton, Obama and yes even Trump all passed laws and a pushed positions I do not like.   But Biden is who is in now, so anything passed now is his fault.

I've never liked pointing the finger at one person; and the bigger the issue, the more people and variables it involves.

It's weird watching administration after administration direct so much energy to trying to undo its predecessor. This post was edited by Danilo_G at February 7, 2024 8:19 PM MST

Certainly not. Lately, though I have been placing blame on China for everything.

Thank you for a humorous response. My question appears to have been reassigned to 'politics', even though I selected 'humor and jokes' as the category!

Probably because you have “president” in there. Kind of a dead giveaway!

I personally don't give a fig about politics. I would rather sit in a field and count the stars in the sky.

Since the US is not a dictatorship (yet), I don't blame any one person.
