Do Republicans really eat their young?

On Truth social Trump wrote -”The Republicans eat their young, they really do, and it’s a terrible statement but it’s true”. He also compared himself to a baby eaten by its own parents. Apparently it was some kind of metaphor because Mitt Romney  and Paul Ryan are preparing to host a summit for ‘non-indicted’ candidates competing for the party’s GOP nomination. Cheers!

    Trump has no idea what he's saying.  He talks about Biden being mentally out of it, but he's no great orator.  He recently claimed he beat Obama, said Biden would get us into WW II, and made a number of other gaffes.

    Of course it does, but invading Gaza to fight Hamas might be as foolish as invading Iraq to fight al Qaeda.

    That is what Hamas did.
    What do you do with a "government " who digs up their people new water pipes so they can make rockets? They are certainly not looking out for their people. They cannot be allowed to continue to opress their people and attack Israelis.

    It's an expression that means to help yourself by destroying those below you. I'm not quite sure if he's using it correctly. But it does seem like the Republican party is destroying itself from within.

    I think the expression is "eating their own" not eating their young.

    That expression would make more sense here, but the expression eating their young is also used. As I said, it refers to attacking those at a lower level, whereas eating their own is attacking members of your own group.

    He is talking about how Republicans are more independent, this is why we have more RINOs.   And do not stick together.  Unlike, Dems who vote more as a block. They do have a couple more independent.  (Sinima, Manchin)

    I posted this question on another site and I made a pretty funny joke on one of the replies. So I thought I would share it here.

    The person said – I pity the person that takes a bite out of Trump because it would taste like lard.

    And I said – Bet there would be a fart sound with every bite because Trump is an a** hole. Cheers!
