Political yard signs -- if I see numerous IDENTICAL political yard signs on the same property, I tend to ignore the signs.

The property owner has defeated his/her/their attempt with me.

"Less is more"  in this case with me.

I drove by a yard with SEVEN identical signs. In the USA state in which I live, there are state-wide issues that have people up in flames.
And I saw the signs and thought, "Shut the he** up. One sign is enough."

I just remember that people are entitled to do what they like on their own property and don’t give it another thought.

    True.

    I'm not always so rational.
I can let other people in the world irritate me at times.

If there’s a position on an amendment, initiative or referendum or a candidate that really irritates me, that happens some times, I can already guarantee that those are going to be the political yard signs in front of my mom’s house.  I agree with her sometimes but for some reason, she never puts out the signs for candidates or issues we both agree on, only the ones that make me roll my eyes and go “UGH”.

Donald Trump never came up in conversation all that much.  She voted for Trump both times, I voted for Gary Johnson in 2016 and Jo Jorgensen in 2020 and I’m pretty sure I’m going to vote for someone who’s not going to go anywhere in 2024 also.  Joe Biden is not a good enough reason to vote for Donald Trump and Donald Trump is not a good enough reason to vote for Joe Biden.

I didn’t care that my mom voted for Donald Trump both times and she didn’t care that I voted for Libertarians in the last two elections.  I don’t really give a flying f*** about Donald Trump.

The world doesn’t revolve around Donald Trump.  Our epic battles were mostly about a state legislator in our district.  She thinks he’s a hero and I think he makes Mussolini look like a humanities professor at UC Berkeley.

Wait - - the world does not revolve around Donald Trump. Omg.

    ;)
    ;)

Posted by an officially-registered Libertarian for a good many years -- not any more. Politics, in general, do not revolve my world. Unlike Music, movies. books, Guy Pearce. Montgomery Clift. Michael Haneke. The Pointer Sisters, Simple Minds, Johnny Nash, Shirley Jackson, Flannery O'Connor, Todd Solandz, etc . . . :)

In 2016, the choices on my state’s ballot were Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Gary Johnson and Darrell Castle.  In 2020, the choices on my state’s ballot were Joe Biden, Donald Trump and Jo Jorgensen.

I’m neither a Libertarian nor a libertarian, but from my point of view, the only choices I had on the ballot both times were the Libertarians.

I hope it’s not Trump and Biden again.

To me, Trump was a good reason to vote for anyone else, and Biden was the only one who actually had a chance to win.

I don't pay much attention to the signs.
Believe it or not, I have never had a political sign in my yard.
I have only had 2 bumper stickers. Same year (2008), Mike Huckabee sticker and a NObama sticker.

People have strong feelings about things and if having multiple signs helps take some of the edge off...more power to them.

Another "true" for me, like Stu Spelling Bee's answer.
You've both reminded me of good points for me.
    Thanks.

I’ve never had a political sign in my yard either and I don’t ever plan to have them.  It’s the same with bumper stickers.  My husband had a Henry C. Santini for governor in ‘22 bumper sticker on his car even though he said it would’ve made it better if he still lived in New York.

    It’s a reference to a cult film.

I pay vey little attention to yard signs.  I'm bothered more by the fact that too many of them remain up after the election is over.  They are an eyesore at that point.

I've never given it much thought and I'm not convinced that yard signs go very far in influencing voters. It's probably more a way of finding your people. I remember when my mother was putting up a sign for a city council member and a neighbor came over all concerned and let her know that this particular candidate was gay (back in a time when politicians were much less likely to be openly gay). The neighbor was completely shocked, when my very proper mother said 'so, what - I'm voting for him, not sleeping with him'.

I don't put any signs in my yard, but I do collect them. They're great for putting targets on for shooting at.
