If Trump gets a second term will Christians have more time to pray?

At a event hosted by the conservative Christian organization Turning Point Action – Trump urged Christians to vote saying - they wouldn’t have to do it again if they got out there in November and elected him because “everything would be fixed”.

I guess that would save them hours ever 4 years so they could get down on their knees and thank the Lord for Donald J Trump.

I was thinking it might be time for some new Bible songs.

I will make you fishers of authoritarian rule - fishers of authoritarian rule - fishers of authoritarian rule - I will make you fishers of authoritarian rule – so early in the morning.

(I added the so early in the morning part because a dictator could make them fish from dawn to dusk) Cheers and happy weekend!

That may be the worst thing he has ever said and I wonder how long before he says he was only joking.

Yeah he and his supporters will say he was joking or the lunatic left are taking it the wrong way. But I know what he is really saying – If I get back in the WH – I will be like poodle poo in shag carpet – you will never get ride of me. Cheers and happy weekend!

Do you think Trump told people they will not need to pray anymore if they vote for Trump?  Or vote?  Not sure what the twist is here but below is what.Trump said.

How would it save hours???? Who has to spend hours voting??

    This is what he said:
"...And Christians go to church, but they don’t vote that much. Do you know the power you have if you would vote? It wouldn’t even be… You got to get out and vote. Just this time, I don’t care… In four years you don’t have to vote, okay? In four years, don’t vote. I don’t care by that time. But we’ll have it all straightened out, so it’ll be much different. Of course, then they’ll come in again and they’ll ruin it. We’ll have to do this all over again. Then we’ll come back, say “you have to go vote.” Working side by side, we’re going to defeat crooked Joe Biden, we’re going to defend our values and we’re going to make America great again. And this will be the most important election in the history of our country. I believe that...." This post was edited by my2cents at July 27, 2024 10:14 AM MDT

No I think Trump told them that if they help him get elected in 2024 they will never have to vote again because he will fix everything. The Amish probably spend hours voting because they have to hook up the buggy and stuff like that every time they go vote. So if Trump made it so they don’t have to vote in the primary or general election they could save hours every 4 years. Cheers and happy weekend!

I just gave you the quote of what he said.  So there is no I thought he said...

The Amish generally do not vote. Also the Jehovah Witnesses also do not vote.   There are some others as well.

I know what Trump said and meant. Maybe next he will hire a special weather person to walk from town to town while ringing a bell and proclaiming – looks like reign.

He meant if you are not happy with the Dems, you have yo vote so he can fix it. And then they may not have to vote again until then Dems get back in and mess it up again.

I noticed Amish people sitting behind Trump at his rally in PA yesterday. It surprised me, so I looked into it. apparently Trump has been reaching out to the Amish since 2016. There are a lot of Amish in Pennsylvania, which is a swing state. It's unclear whether their support translates to votes, but they are undeniably conservative in their beliefs.

The RNC under Laura Trump's leadership hired Scott Pressler to head up Republican registration of people to vote.   Republicans have significantly shrank the Dems lead in registered voters. Even flipping some countries in PN.   He is a big asset that the old RNC leadership did not use at all.

Well if that surprised you the following might knock your socks off. There are Amish drug cartels in Mexico and they smuggle cocaine into Amish comuinites in Ontario, Canada. And that coke is distributed across Canada and the US. Not sure about this part but maybe the reason Trump has been reaching out to the Amish is because he wants a piece of the action. Cheers!

That's news to me. Many years ago, I heard that Mexican Mennonites were involved in drug smuggling, but it wasn't big news then and I ve heard nothing since.

Well the Amish and the Mennonites would be the last people cops would think were into the drug bizz. I wouldn't put it past the Quakers though - bet their buggies get pulled over by the cops all the time. Cheers!

Today while I was smoking a doobie at the Parksville Beach Festival I started thinking that it could be a good thing if Trump got into the illegal drug biz. Trump has bankrupt a few businesses including a casino. So I figured that if Trump could bankrupt a casino he could inadvertently bankrupt the mexican drug cartels - if he got into the drug biz. Cheers!

Pointless, the Amish generally don't turn out. Less than 10% of Amish vote, historically. Goes counter to "Two Kingdoms" theology, voting is dealing with "Man's kingdom" and that's not the one theyre interested in.

That is what the push is about getting those people out who don't normally vote.   Again, Scott Pressler is great on this.

He's up against a theological hurdle this time. Man's kingdom versus God's kingdom.

True, but he has gotten them registered to vote. That is a big first step.

I find this kind of telling. Trump resonantly said -  Kamala Harris is unfit to “Rule”. I always thought US presidents lead and serve – not rule. So what is Trump saying – Harris is unfit to rule but he would be a great dictator?

    Cheers!
