Is America really respected around the world once again?

The WH just announced that America is once again respected around the world. They are saying that because Colombia backed down and accepted the deportees. I think that changed nothing to how most of the world feels about America/Trump. He just pardoned 16000 insurrectionist - he has been bulling other countries – he figures Russia had the right to invade Ukraine - he supports the rich and not the poor/middle class and his polices spell disaster for the world. Cheers!

America has been respected around the world for decades. I think Trump wants the US to return to the isolationism and protectionism of before WWII, before we were a superpower on the world stage.

No.  We may even gotten a bit bruised in tha last few days.  However, a black eye (if not worse) will soon be coming.   The "wh" is only saying that to boost its "leader's" super-massive ego.

He is keeping the promises the voters supported him for.  And doing it quickly. So much for first 100 days, first 100 hrs.

Countries who claimed they would not take their criminals back are taking them.  That is a victory.

Bullying countries economically to bend to your wishes is not being respected - it's doing what is best for your economy and your people.

If Trump's raising tariffs on all those other countries and they retaliate in kind, then Trump is not doing what's best for THIS country and its people.  Not sure why you can't grasp that concept.

If it results in a better result for Americans it will be worth it.

Forcing countries to take their criminals back is good for Americans.

I’m thinking Trump is going to try the old – take these deportees or I will put tariffs on you – with Canada and other countries around the world. I also think Columbia will find out that some of the deportees aren't even from Columbia. Cheers!

I was glad to see that because it could be the beginning of the end to Trump’s tariff treats. Countries know Trump is crazy for tariffs and no matter how fair they try to be Trump will keep treating tariffs – like he might even go as far as to treating tariffs on countries that won’t sell their country to the US. I think countries all around the world should let Trump know they are united and united they will win his ridiculous tariff game. Cheers!

Nope. Less so that it was a week ago. Colombia DIDN'T back down, they've been accepting two plane loads of deportees a week from Biden for more than a year. But Biden used chartered planes and commercial flights. What Colombia objected to was Trump using military aircraft, and Petro refused to let those land. They were diverted to Honduras where the deportees were picked up.
This tariff war is going to hurt Americn farmers, the clods who voted for him - Colombia and Mexico are the USA's main export markets for corn, and Trump's belligerent attitude is pushing Latin America to cozy up to China. Think you've got a Fentanyl problem now? You ain't seen NOTHING yet. China is well versed in opioid warfare, the British did it to them a century and a half ago. He took his criminals back.  That is what matters.

If he wants to pick them all up in his own plane. I don't care.

Trump did the same thing in Brazil which has been accepting deportation flights since 2017. Trum loaded them up on a military flight wearing leg chains and handcuffs, just to make a show. Americans are paying for these theatrics, when charter flights are more cost effective.
