Got a good side to Trump’s tariff rhetoric?

Trump’s tariff treats have sparked a new sense of pride in Canada. 70% of Canadians are feeling more patriotic since Trump started his tariff treats. But you can’t put food on the table with pride – so Canada and Canadians are in the process of being less dependent on trading with the US. And in the long run I think that’s a good thing. Cheers!

We'll buy your oil and sell you our wines - better than California and cheaper than France.

Interestingly enough, I believe Trump said that he was not in favor of EV cars.  That must have sat really well with Musk. This post was edited by Spunky at February 10, 2025 8:10 AM MST

He did say he wasn’t in favor of EV’s. And he also said he would rather take his chances with sharks then being on a sinking electric boat.

Right now he has stopped or wants to stop the construction of EV charging stations along American highways. And I think that is another thing Trump is doing out of sour grapes. Going green was a Biden thing so Trump will make sure he destroys it. Cheers!

What Trump said is he is in favor of people having a choice in the type of vehicle they buy.  No one should be forced to buy an EV or vice-versa.  Some people want them and some do not.

But yes, he also said he would rather deal with sharks than an EV boat if it fails.  (The batteries do not do well submerged in water...they tend to catch fire)

Same position he had/has on the jab. This post was edited by my2cents at February 10, 2025 8:49 AM MST
