Don't really have a "hometown," merely a palace I am living at the moment.

I used to like the beauty here.  But lately everyone hates trees.

Great question. I can be quick to criticize the overall mentality in Antwerp (Belgium), but it has its historic charm and cultural diversity.

There's a Gothic cathedral, a 9th-century castle, the home of Peter Paul Rubens (Baroque painter), and apparently the only museum on UNESCO's World Heritage List — Plantin-Moretus, 16th-century printers.

I like having left there at age 18 and never living there since.

As a very young boy, my memories of playing outside with my brother and sister and friends. Especially flying kites on a big open hill across the street and we could see entire small town on top of hill. This post was edited by WelbyQuentin at March 8, 2025 5:37 PM MST

    Lots of family in town.
I had about 20 first cousin's that lived in town and also knew about 10 second cousins as well.  Most of us were within 4 yrs age difference.

My Grandmother had 11 kids. My other Grandmother had 6. Most of those children remained in the same town.  And had their children.

You choose. I consider where I spent the most time as my hometown. I have lived in numerous US cities, but Toledo is the longest.

I've lived in the suburbs of Adelaide for 35 years. I like the slower pace of life and the fact that almost everything is cheaper than in Sydney. The trouble with the rat race is that even if you win, you're still a rat. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at March 19, 2025 2:13 PM MDT
