But it currently means extreme leftist ideology.  

You MAGAs regard anything to the left of Mussolini as "extreme leftist". The Democrats are actually center-right with rare exceptions like AOC (who is a Bernie disciple - Bernie himself is now independent).

Democrats are leftists.  And they are on the left on USA which the topic at hand.  It does not matter where they are on the global scale.  This about American politics and the Democrats are on the left. And some on the extreme left.  

We all know who they are and what they stand for. And that is why Trump won.  They always go to far and Americans push them out.   Bernie has always been an Independent who caucuses with the Dems...and yes AOC started as a Bernie campaign volunteer.   But those are hardly the only woke leftists in the Dem party.

Please.  Trump is to the left of me.  He does not tell me what to think. I had my positions when Trump was still a Democrat.

Open borders, globalist, man made climate hoax, communist/socialists, gender confusion etc being in our schools and sports, violent extremists, DEI supporting. War supporting, etc.

I'm a socialist like Jesus and John the Baptist, and Trump was never a Democrat. A DINO maybe. He's also not a Christian, Jesus didn't schmooze up to the money lenders and billionaires and ask them for bribes "donations", on the contrary he fashioned a makeshift whip and drove them out raining blows and hurling imprecations at them.

The climate changes always has...always will.  There is more ice now than there was during the viking age. 

Jesus wasn't a socialist.  He taught to "render unto Caesar what was Caesars and unto God what is Gods." The church is to take care of the poor and the widows and orphans.  Jesus never taught to render unto Ceasar so Caesar may render unto the poor.

You do not know what either of them may or may not do for others.  You are assuming that anything they do would be done in public for public approval...that is the only reward.  You do not/cannot know what either man is/has done in private/anonymously from their prayer closet. 

Given that Trump is both worlds leading braggart & narcissist, I think we'd know.

What they are doing PUBLICLY negates whatever they might be doing in private. They are institutionalizing government brutality towards the poor and downtrodden. Cancelling USAID takes food and clean water AWAY from the hungry and thirsty. His brazen push towards privatizing SS and Medicaid is going to make more people sick and homeless. We're talking billions and I promise you that anything they may be doing "from their prayer closet" (I seriously doubt that either even has one, Trump cant spell "charity" and Elon's fortune was built on child slavery) is dwarfed by their public kicking of the defenseless in the teeth.
Jesus himself was a refugee and I'm absolutely certain that Egypt didn't ask St Joseph for his documents.
