Do you honestly believe the garbage you're spewing?

The horrors you predict didn't happen under Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, or Obama.

Do you really believe the garbage you're spewing (and subsequently and unintentionally giving Trump credit for being able to do what no previous President has)
or are you just venting.

I ask because if you honestly believe it, others should listen carefully and pay attention to your views. If you're just venting, everyone else may legitimately tell you to can it.

You're unhappy, we get it. Welcome to life on Earth.

I am not spewing. I am citing.  I am sure of the garbage because I did see it happen.

The reason Carter made it was because we got rid of the biggest criminal this country had to endure. And his WHITEY staff.  It's time to repeat history.   We have been successful in keeping the Republicants down to a semi-manageable horror.  They blew up the economy and we lived through it in the Bush era.  They blew up everything now.    They think they are going to march into the White House and we are going to sit back and let them.  I'm telling you, I am NOT.  And I am lazy.  There are people who hate TRUMP.  Effective people who hate TRUMP who I will seek out and help in any way I can.

Yes, we wound up with Reagan, sure.  A war monger of the 1st degree.  Then we wound up with Clinton and now after Bush and his nonsense, and after the rise of Pres. Obama,  the Replicants are trying to bully their way back once more.

Sure, no world ended then.   It almost has though.  More than a few times.  Bay of Pigs?  Horrific time.  I know if Nixon was in office then we would all not be here to speak about it.

But it is getting worse. Not better. We are on a precipice.  You are on it too and you think you are still on terra firma.  Talk to me in a few months and let's see who is the blind one and who is the ranting lunatic? As I said, you weren't the only person there.
And thanks for admitting you don't actually believe what you're saying (as this was a yes or no question).

I am done talking to someone who cannot read.  Go fly to the White House crow.  You are a great symbol of what is to come.   You can't comprehend and you cannot debate.

You just swing wildly and it is quite tedious to exchange anything with you.

You don't get it and just want to be right about things you don't even know what you are talking about.  At all.

I was THERE.  So, I saw.  You were not.  You did not see crap. DID YOU?  NO.

That is the end of this see-saw.  You were not there.  You did not read anything of merit and you have nothing to say to prove it.

NOTHING.  I have read nothing but babble from you.

Congratulations, you are now an official member of the Salty Herbert Usual Suspect Club.

Just because the horrors didn't affect you personally doesn't mean they didn't happen.

Ask the 400+ people who were victims of prejudicial violence in the wake of Trump's electoral victory about imaginary horrors.

@Crow -- So, you ADMIT bad things happen? That there are real-world consqeuences to political action?

Thank you for admitting your initial argument is negated and you were just spouting bulls***t...;-D...

A few people on both sides getting an ass kicking is not "horrors". A few people on both sides saying mean things is not "horrors". Those events are insignificant. Get some perspective. Crow is saying it isn't the end of the world, so stop being so butthurt.

"Horrors" should refer to event of a WW2 magnitude or worse. When the left compare Trump to Hitler are you one of the people who really believes that, or do you recognize how paranoid they are?

@ST -- In 2000, the GOP candidates lost the popular vote but won the electoral vote (thanks to some very strange balloting in Florida and perhaps the most bizarre SCOTUS decision in our nation's history).

The winning candidates ended up starting a $3 TRILLION invasion of Iraq because....REASONS!  I think that's a pretty severe negative consequence of a closely-contested election.

Sure, if you set your standard of "horror" severe enough, then no American election is consequential. Hell, Lincoln winning in 1860 and the Confederacy seceding is "insignificant" by your standard.

But if that's your standard, then you should STFU about my butthurt, right? After all, my butthurt falls below WWII levels of "horrors", which is the only legitimate complaint about an election in your view, right?

Or, as usual, do you have one standard for yourself and another standard for STOOPID EBIL LIBRUHLZ?

My point is that it's all relative. There are many events in the last few decades I would consider "significant".

Bush did significant harm to the U.S. and the world and yet he is demonized far less than Trump who hasn't even taken office yet. While many on both sides of the political spectrum questioned the wisdom or getting involved in the wars, Bush wasn't attacked in the same way that Trump's is being, just mocked. So we can only conclude that being un-PC is more horrific to the leftist than hundreds of thousands of deaths and trillions of dollars wasted.

(Bush received cross party support for his wars. Al Gore backed the war, so in the parallel universe where he became president, I doubt things are very different.)

It makes me doubt that western civilization has a future when people can't recognize Trump for the awesome individual he so clearly is. Make no mistake western civilization is on course for an economic and social collapse. If it does, events will unfold that more than meet my standard of horror. Your butthurt makes me think "Oh God! They'll never see the truth. We're doomed! Doomed!!". It's not that your butthurt is horrific in itself, it's just an omen of horrific things to come.

I suppose the left consider Trump an omen too. Though I think you're paranoid because you're fearing revolutionary change in a system that has shown itself to be deadlocked and completely unable to change. A president is not a dictator. Nothing very right wing is going to happen. I think my fear that your butthurt will force Trump into compromises that perpetuate the ruinous status quo is far more more justified.

@ST -- You badly misunderstand me (which is not surprising given your rambling pointless blather).

The GOP controls (or will soon control) the White House, The Senate, the House of Representatives, the SCOTUS, and the majority of state governors and state legislatures. Exactly HOW will "my butthurt" force President Trump into ANY sort of compromise? (Hint: it won't)

As for your claim Bush wasn't attacked the way Trump has been, that's because the Boy Emperor (for all of his evil) had the good sense to keep his mouth shut and not ANNOUNCE that he was evil before he took office. Pre-9/11 George W. Bush didn't talk about Mexican Rapists, Syrian refugee terrorists, or grabbing women by the p**sy. He talked about "compassionate conservatism" and "being a uniter." It turned out to be BS, but he made the effort.

Trump has made NO effort to hide what a narcissistic bigoted sexist authoritarian scumbag he is (and that's your standard for "awesome individual"? SMH). Meanwhile, his choices of people like Bannon, Sessions, Gingrich, Guiliani, etc. indicate he has ZERO intention of "draining the swamp," but to make the "swamp" more racist, sexist, and authoritarian (and we on the political left PREDICTED it would happen).

So, if you've got a problem with a "ruinous status quo," shove your complaints about the "butthurt of the political left" into some uncomfortable orifice. All we HAVE is butthurt. We have NO real political power. If Der Trumpfenfuhrer does something you don't like, that's on the people WHO VOTED FOR HIM and others in the GOP who enable him.

I hope that BS platter is tasty...;-D...

    Dear TRUMP picture guy,

You listened to me the other day.  Remember?  When you saw that the video of Obama was rigged?  You know?  About telling America that he wants illegals to vote?

I'm surprised you acquiesced.  Can you take that into consideration here?  Can you listen to someone who actually knows what he is talking about?  I am tired of you and crowbait and the rest of you.

I have been writing and fighting for 2 days now.  This is like pissing into the wind talking to any of you.

Oh, really?  I confess I have not read it.  I CANNOT, not that I am not interested.  I have a bad habit when I read stuff I don't agree with. I stick my nose in and it seems to confuse the issue.  SO I will sit back for this one for now.

Protests do have political effects or people wouldn't bother with them. Politicians do feel pressure to moderate their policy to unite the country. Yes, Trump does control both houses but half the republican party are RINOs and unlikely to vote for real change. Every Republican congressman that doesn't feel confident they're in a safe seat is going to hesitate to entirely ignore left wing protest.

The establishment will also be applying pressure in all kinds of ways. There is considerable risk he will be assassinated if he tells the powers that be to go f*** themselves.

It takes more than 4-8 years to fix a country so he can't achieve his goals by beating people over the head with power. He has to reach out to people.

I'm delighted you feel so powerless. I only wish it were true ;-D

Wow, do you have ANY evidence to support this post?

How effective were the anti-war protests at ending the invasion/occupation of Iraq?

How effective was Occupy Wall Street at significantly changing financial regulation and breaking up the 'too big to fail" financial institutions?

How effective has Black Lives Matter been at getting cops convicted for shooting unarmed Nig,...er suspects?

    [Sound of crickets chirping]

Meanwhile, exactly WHO has Trump been "reaching out to" by naming people like Bannon, Sesssions, Gingrich, Guiliani, et al. to his administration? (Hint: xenopobic/racist/sexist authoritarian f***tards)

I note above you claim to admit when you're wrong. Well, there's a problem with that statement. If you lack the meta-cognitive skills to KNOW when you're wrong...well, you won't know when your wrong.

If you find the David Dunning article too complicated, here's a nice video by John Cleese that sums it up.

The examples you give are not relevant. I didn't argue that protests are very effective at promoting radical cultural / political change. Certainly not when the establishment is against such change.

I said protest was effective at causing people to MODERATE a position seen as radical and come to the center. I argued they are quite effective at producing weak ass compromise.

The Overton window is very very narrow. Most of the time the difference between what republicans and democrats actually do is minimal.

The rest of your post is just pseudo intellectual leftist bullsh*t. Pure appeal to authority. You're not informed. You're indoctrinated by an establishment that plays on your intellectual vanity to manipulate the hell out of you.
