Is there a movie, an older movie, an iconic movie that you remember going to the theaters to watch?

My dad took me to watch it when I was little, I didn't know what we were going to watch, or the impact it was going to have for the rest of my life. Hearing the first couple of notes of the main theme, still gives me goosebumps. Even now, watching the trailer makes me want to run out the door and punch sides of hanging beef.

Oh, I see, you posted something?  No it doesn't show on my end.

I will give you Psycho.  I saw the original at the Tiffin Theatre in Chicago.

  • Oh wow. That's a great one.
Very much an iconic film. And to be able to say you went to the movies to watch it. Very cool. Thanks Sharonna.

  • Iconic? All the President's Men has to be a classic.

But my favourite (and the full movie is available on YouTube) is The Devil's Disciple. It's GBS's take on the American War of Independence and a Hollywood classic.

Yes, many: All the original Star Wars movies, all the original Indiana Jones movies, Ghostbusters, Gremlins, E.T., and Goonies.

I saw most of the "big" 80's movies, if they weren't rated R. My parents were a stickler for that. Luckily most of the real good ones were PG and PG-13 wasn't even invented yet. Of course I missed out on some good horror movies and action movies, but I saw most of them later on home video VHS. Some I still need to see! But it is good to always have something to discover.

I went to see William Friedkin's "The Exorcist" in one of its re-releases. I'm glad I saw it in a big theater.

Oh, and I saw Friedkin's "Bug" in the theater . . . oh, you said "iconic." Well, to me, this movie is iconic; it just seems no one else I know has seen it
    :)

    Fantastic film for me!

Oh! And I was literally the only person in the entire theater! It ended up being a private showing just for me, ha!

You should put it on your bucket list - it's a good movie that has a lot of food for thought in it. Cheers!

    Yes, maybe I should.
    :)

Did the movie have a hit song from it, on the soundtrack? Maybe "One Tin Soldier"?
I don't know -- long day and I'm just popping out my thoughts here as they happen. That song title popped into my head when I thought about the movie's title.
    :)

Ya One Tin Soldier is the theme song  - cool song but I think the movie  was way cooler. So I highly recommend it and to help entice you into seeing it - spoiler alert there is a boob scene. Cheers!
